My name is Sarah Taylor and I am looking forward to working with your son/daughter this year. I will be teaching Grade 7/8 Core French (R7C, R8A and R8B) and Grade 8 EFI H/G (F8A and F8D).
Organization is key to academic achievement. Student will be expected to come to class prepared to learn with all of their materials, including duotangs, paper, pens/pencils and a French/English dictionary.

BEING SUCCESSFUL IN THE FRENCH PROGRAM…
The French (both immersion and core) program is an extremely valuable experience for your son or daughter. The key to success and becoming comfortable in the French language is participation. Your child will have ample opportunities to participate on a regular basis with in the classroom, and I encourage every student to take advantage of these situations and to participate as much as possible. I also encourage the kids to participate in French activities outside of school hours through the reading of French books, the watching of French television, or movies and listening to French radio. We are fortunate to live in an area where the French language is so accessible, and I hope we can all take advantage of the possibilities!
We will be having our “Meet the Staff” evening on Thursday September 18th, from 6:30-8:00 pm. I hope to see many of you there!
